Player Housing

Want to become the ultimate Generals fan? Then you might want to consider becoming a host family to one of the players. As you may, or may not know, Generals players come from all over the country, and potentially all over the world. The Generals are asking for the assistance of the community to provide housing for the players over the course of the season.

All Generals players will be assigned to a host family from the beginning of September to the end of March. The players will range in ages from 15-20 years old. Host family responsibilities include providing adequate lodging, encouraging proper study habits, and fostering good moral and ethical behavior. Host families are not required to provide transportation for the players. Each host family will receive a $300 a month stipend to assist in offsetting lodging costs. Visit our host family FAQ page for more information about our player housing program.

Here's what some of our current host families have to say about the housing program:

  • "Every year we get someone who winds up being a really good role model and part of the family... it gives kids something that makes them feel special and unique."
  • "It increases my love for the game and involves me in a way that I wouldn't know without kids."

Some of the benefits of becoming a host family with the Eugene Generals include:

  • Free Season Tickets for your entire household
  • Free Tickets to Eugene Generals Christmas Party for your entire household
  • Free Tickets to the Eugene Generals End of the Year Awards Banquet for your entire household

Hosting a player in your home is an excellent way to support the Eugene ice hockey community.
