The Eugene Generals will make a cross-country trip for the second time this season when they travel to the East Coast on January 14 to face off against competition from the Eastern Hockey League.
The upcoming East Coast swing of games will be the final major trip of the season for the Generals after previously traveling to the Philadelphia area back in October and to Minnesota for the NA3HL Showcase in December.
During the team's forthcoming trip the Generals will play a two-game series against the Central Penn Panthers followed by a one-game matchup against the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers.
Officially founded in 2013, the Eastern Hockey League is comprised of 30 teams – 18 in the EHL and 12 in the EHL Premier.
More than 150 EHL alumni made NCAA commitments during the 2017-18 season, more than any Tier III junior hockey league in the United States.
The Eugene Generals maintain Independent sanctioning by USA Hockey and are the only Tier III junior hockey program in the Northwest to be officially sanctioned by USA Hockey.
