The Eugene Generals (25-6-3, 53pts) are proud to announce the signing of defenseman Jordan Szymanski of Robbinsdale, Minnesota.
Having most recently played with Robbinsdale Cooper High School in New Hope, Minnesota, Szymanski joins the Generals family as the team prepares for USPHL postseason play. Currently, Eugene has just ten games remaining in the regular season and a 12-point lead over the second place Seattle Ravens.
Szymanski joins a veteran core of Generals defenseman that all have at least one year of experience with the team.
"We've continued to bolster our lineup ahead of the postseason," said Head Coach Justin Kern, "and the addition of Jordan should help further fortify an already experienced group of defensemen. He's a talented D-man with a bit of size and he already gets along very well with the team. I think that he'll be a great asset on our blue line."
Szymanski will make his Generals debut this weekend as the team will travel to Kent, Washington to play a two-game series against the Seattle Ravens starting on Friday, January 20th and concluding on Saturday, January 21st. Both games start at 6:35pm PST while video coverage will be provided via HockeyTV. Szymanski is slated to make his home debut on Friday, February 3rd vs. the West Sound Warriors, the first of a six-game homestand that will wrap up the USP3HL regular season.
