Eugene Generals unveil pink jerseys

EUGENE, Ore. - The Eugene Generals are proud to announce that Saturday, Oct. 20, will be the eighth annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night at the Lane County Ice Arena.

The Generals will be wearing pink in the rink to show their support for all women, and their families and friends, who have had a personal fight with breast cancer.

This year, the Generals have introduced a redesigned Generals logo for this unique jersey.

The Health and Safety Institute has chosen to sponsor with the Generals for this event, and will be recognized on the Generals jerseys.

Starting Thursday, Oct. 18, the Generals will begin the auction for the game worn jerseys. The jerseys will be auctioned for one week. All net proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in an effort to find a cure for breast cancer.

The Generals will also donate $1 from every ticket sold to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

To be a part the history made at this year's Breast Cancer Awareness Night, be here, at the Lane County Ice Arena, when the Generals take on the Vancouver Vipers at 7:35 p.m.
