EUGENE, Ore. - The Eugene Generals (4-3-1) suffered their largest loss of the season in a 9-4 defeat to the Glacier Nationals (4-2-0).
The Generals battled hard in the first period, but would be out played in the in the second and third period of tonight's game.
In the first period, the Nationals and Generals exchanged goals. Glacier received goals from Sebastian Adnell and Chris Cutshall by the time the first period expired.
On the other hand, the Generals received two goals form Zak Johnson, before Johnson was ejected from the game in the second period.
Despite the Generals best efforts in the second, the Nationals would run the table.
Glacier player Brandon Vitale scored two goal in the second period. Cutshall scored his second goal of the night 17:21 into the second period.
Eugene responded to Cutshall's goal by lighting the lamp for the third time of the game 18:14 into the period when Hunter Hartman scored.
Austin Givens scored the final goal of the period for the Nationals on an unassisted goal at 18:26 of the second period.
The Nationals put the game away in the third period by scoring three more goals. Glacier received one goal in the third period from Vitale, and two goals from Cutshall.
Eugene did score the final goal of the game. Generals veteran forward Justin Huelsman notched his team final goal of the night on a power play 9:45 into the third and final period of the game.
The Generals will host the Nationals tomorrow night at the Lane County Ice Arena at 7:35 p.m.
