Bishop and Woodring Commit to Nichols College

The Eugene Generals are proud to announce that former Defenseman Blake Bishop and former goaltender Dylan Woodring have committed to Division III Nichols College to continue their hockey careers. Nichols College is located in Dudley, Massachusetts where its athletic program competes in the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

Blake Bishop played two seasons with the Generals where he played a key role in the Generals two 38-10 seasons. In Bishop�s two seasons, he played 89 games with 38 goals and 50 assists for 88 points. Bishop was second in scoring among defenseman in NORPAC last season with 22 goals and 31 assists for 53 points.

Dylan Woodring played four seasons for the Generals. Last season, Woodring posted a 27-7 record for the Generals posting a 2.66 goals against average and a 92.5 save percentage. Woodring was also a leader on and off the ice. He made a number of plays last year that amazed fans and preserved victories for the team. Woodring played in 115 games with a 64-41 record 3.28 goals against average and a 91 save percentage in his four seasons in Junior Hockey.

Nichols College finished with a 13-10-3 record last season after posting a 25-4 record and were the ECAC Northeast Champions in 2009. Louis Izzi is entering his seventh season as the Bison�s Head Coach. Izzi is also the winningest hockey coach Bison history.

"We are excited that Blake and Dylan will be joining our team this season," Izzi explained. "They are outstanding young men and student-athletes, and we are looking forward to both of them making an immediate impact and contribution to our team as freshmen."

The Bison are expecting Woodring and Bishop to be productive for their team as they were for the Generals. The Generals wish Bishop and Woodring success at Nichols College.
