Generals host River City Jaguars on Friday for Breast Cancer Awareness Night and Puget Sound Tomahawks on Saturday

Eugene, OR - The Eugene Generals (4-4) hosts the River City Jaguars (0-6) on Friday October 15th at the Lane Events Center-Ice, in the Generals Sixth Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by The Health and Safety Institute. The Generals will wear pink jerseys, with the jerseys being auctioned off after the game to benefit breast cancer research.
"This is always one of the organizations favorite events of the year because it contributes to a good cause, and the pink jerseys are always a player and fan favorite," GM Flint Doungchak explained. "We have contribute to breast cancer research the past five seasons and hope to do the same this season."
The Generals and Jaguars met on October 2nd with the Generals winning that game 7-3. Brad Main led the Generals in scoring with a goal and three assists, and Patrick Moodie, Christian Merritt and Ryan McDonald had two points against the Jaguars. The Generals have beaten the Jaguars nine out of the last ten games they have played.
Brad Main, Ryan McDonald, Christian Merritt and Patrick Moodie lead the Generals in goals with five. The Generals goaltending this year is 4-4 with 3.13 goals against average and a 90.8 save percentage. Cameron Callaway and Shane McGuiness have 6 of the 11 goals scored by the Jaguars this season.
The Generals host the Puget Sound Tomahawks on Saturday night. The Generals lead the season series 3-0 against the Tomahawks, winning last Saturday night 9-1. The Generals have outscored the Tomahawks 22-3 in the three meetings this year. Puget Sound earned their first victory last Friday beating the Jaguars 3-1. Eric Schmit (2) and Aaron Ward have scored the only three goals for the Tomahawks against the Generals.
