The Eugene Generals (5-5) take on the Puget Sound Tomahawks and the undefeated Seattle Totems this weekend at home. Last weekend, the Generals fell to the River City Jaguars on Friday (4-6) but beat Puget Sound on Saturday (3-2).
The Generals play the Tomahawks this Friday at 7:35. The Tomahawks lost to the Generals 3-2 last Saturday night. Christian Merritt scored the game winning goal with 57 seconds left. This will be the fifth meeting between the teams this season, and the Tomahawks have yet to beat the Generals.
On Saturday night at 7:35, the Generals play the Seattle Totems. The Generals have lost to the Totems twice earlier this season in Seattle. Seattle is undefeated so far this season and has scored 71 goals to Eugene's 43. The top three scorers in the league will be on the ice at the Lane Events Center-Ice Saturday night. Eugene's Brad Main is the NORPAC leading scorer and Seattle's Chace Jackson and Chris Fink are second and third, respectively.
"It will be interesting to see how this weekends games go especially with the new players we have acquired," said assistant coach Brent Seidel. The Generals acquired Jared Alires from the Yellowstone Quake this week.
Both Friday's and Saturday's games will be broadcast on EGHN with the pregame starting at 7:15 and the puck drop at 7:35. For more information on the jersey auction for breast cancer awareness, the Eugene Generals, or EGHN visit eugenegenerals.com.
