Eugene, OR - The Eugene Generals (6-6) fall short to the Seattle Totems who remain undefeated this season. The Totems found the back of the net eleven times throughout the game.
Seattle's Chris Fink scored the first goal of the game during a powerplay early in the first period. Christian Merritt answered back for the Generals and scored Eugene's lone goal within the next minute; assisted from Brad Main and Patrick Moodie. Seattle finished off the period with a goal from Tanner Hawes.
Seattle dominated the second period and scored five times despite a Eugene goalie change from Matt Bartels to Corey Grummick midway through the period.
At the end of the game the Totems had eleven goals from eleven different scorers.
"Tonight we, plain and simple, just did not have it," assistant coach Brent Seidel had to say about the game. "It being puck movement, strong defensive play and coming together as a team. Seattle outplayed us and where way hungrier for the puck than we were."
The Generals will have their next game at home on Thursday, November 4th when they take on the River City Jaguars. The game starts at 6:35pm and will be broadcasted on EGHN.
