The Eugene Generals (8-10) fall to the Seattle Totems (20-1) on Thursday night 0-1.
The Totems were scoreless until the end of the first period when Parker Elliot was able to score the gameï¿½s only goal with assists coming from Zeke Yslas and Kyle Peterson.
The Generals pulled their goalie, Corey Grummick, with a minute remaining in play but were unable to tie the score and send the game into overtime, leaving the score 1-0 with the Totems on top. Grummick had an impressive 53 saves on the night.
"Tonight the boys came out and played a full 60 minutes of hockey and showed that they can play with any team in our division," said assistant coach Brent Seidel. "Tomorrow night we are looking to have the same success."
The Eugene Generals face off against the Totems again tomorrow night and then will take on the Puget Sound Tomahawks on Saturday night. Friday nightï¿½s game will begin at 7:35 pm with the EGHN pregame beginning at 7:15. Saturdayï¿½s game will begin at 5:35 pm with the pregame starting at 5:15.
