Generals within Two Points of Second
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Generals (14-10) easily handled the River City Jaguars (1-22) tonight 13-2 at Lane Events Center-Ice. The Generals are now on a three game winning streak, and only trail the second place Seattle Totems by two points in the NOR PAC Pacific Division. The Generals are on the road for the next two weeks, but will return to Eugene for one more weekend before the Christmas break.
“We didn’t let down after the two big wins earlier this weekend, and we were able to come away with two more points,” Generals Head Coach Chris Hartly stated. “We head to River City next weekend, and will have to play with the same focus we came into tonight’s game with. If we do that we will have an excellent chance at coming away with four points next weekend.”
Four Generals had at least three points tonight, and fourteen Generals had points on the night. Matt Vasilie had five assists on the night, and Justin Adams had two goals and three assists to lead the team in points. Ryan Schank was able to tally a goal and assist three more. Justin Kern had three points on the night, and was able to get his first goal of the season.
The Generals will travel to Beaverton next weekend to face the River City Jaguars next Friday and Saturday at Valley Ice Arena. Both games will be broadcast on GiTV. For more information on upcoming games or GiTV please visit eugenegenerals.com.
