Try Hockey For Free Day Returns February 23

Try Hockey For Free Day returns on Saturday, February 23 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm at The Rink Exchange in Eugene, Oregon. Generals players will be in attendance providing hands-on instruction both on and off of the ice.
The event provides children ages 4-9 with the opportunity to take part in an introductory-level ice session with Generals coaches, players and staff aiding in their development.
A full compliment of hockey gear will be provided for all children that register in advance, and just like the name of the event sounds, there is no cost to any child or parent.
Parents can register their child by visiting TryHockeyForFree.com.
Earlier this season, Generals players and staff volunteered at a separate Try Hockey For Free event also hosted at The Rink Exchange. The team assisted new skaters in gear fitting and on-ice drills while helping to establish a fun, upbeat and welcoming environment.
In all, more than 350 local hockey associations across the country will take part in the upcoming Try Hockey For Free Day as a part of Hockey Week Across America.
“From our standpoint, it's a special day for a number of reasons," said Generals GM Alex Stimson. "Seeing how our young men work with young kids, seeing more kids introduced to the game of hockey, and seeing all the smiles that fill the building make every Try Hockey For Free Day a truly memorable event. We are excited to join the Jr. Generals, LAHA, and countless rink staff members and volunteers to make this another great event."
