Generals Prepared To Host Portland

The Eugene Generals (2-5-0) will host the Portland Jr. Winterhawks for a two-game series this upcoming Friday and Saturday night at The Rink Exchange in Eugene, Oregon.

The Gens will be making their much-anticipated return to home ice for the first time in three weeks after previously splitting a two-game series with the University of Oregon at the end of September.

The season's first seven games have seen a well-rounded attacking effort from across the lineup with nine different Generals players having scored at least once, led by leading point-getters Alex Clark (6G/1A/7PTS), Dakota Henn (5G/2A/7PTS) and Jared Coday (4G/3A/7PTS). In net, Carson Roisum has put forth a number of impressive performances to start his junior hockey career, most notably a 69-save outing in Eugene's 4-3 shootout win over the Oregon Ducks to start the season.

This weekend's series will serve as the first-ever meeting between the Generals and Jr. Winterhawks while also marking the beginning of this season's slate of games against elite 18U opponents as the 2018-19 season schedule will feature a diverse array of Tier III junior, ACHA collegiate, and 18U opponents, a schedule format that can be likened to that of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program (NTDP).

The Eugene Generals maintain Independent sanctioning by USA Hockey and are the only Tier III junior hockey program in the Northwest to be officially sanctioned by USA Hockey.

Tickets to this weekend's games can be purchased online at EugeneGenerals.com or in-person at The Rink Exchange starting at approximately 6:30pm PST. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $6 for seniors/students, and children under the age of five are free.

The Eugene Generals Hockey Network will provide a live, free stream of both games via YouTube Live. Remember to subscribe to the Eugene Generals on YouTube to stay up to date ahead of each EGHN broadcast.
