Generals Drop Series Finale In Wenatchee
A hard fought effort came up short on Wednesday afternoon as the Eugene Generals (4-10-1) suffered a 5-2 defeat at the hands of the Wenatchee Wolves (16-8-0) at the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee, Washington.
For the second consecutive night, the Wolves carried a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, this time thanks to a goal by Chance Coger at 15:27 mark.
The Wolves added a pair of goals in the second period with goals from Tae Jean Evans and JayVon Fogelgren to stretch their lead to 3-0, but Generals forward Cody Arbelovsky responded at the 18:18 mark of the period to cut Eugene’s deficit back to two heading into the break.
In the third period, Eugene’s bid for a comeback never materialized as Wenatchee’s Christian Phinney and Jackson Tillinghast each scored while Arbelovsky netted the only Eugene goal of the final period to cap a 5-2 win for the Wolves.
Generals goaltender Carson Roisum proved solid in net once more stopping 54 of 59 shots faced.
